Get a 3rd Date: To-Do Checklist After Your Second Date
After that second date, you might be wondering, “What’s next?”
You’re probably hoping for a third date but may not be sure how to get there.
I’ve been there myself — trying to figure out the right moves and make sure I don’t mess things up.
Based on my experience, getting a third date doesn’t have to be complicated. But it does require some thought and action.
Here’s my checklist on what to do after your second date to increase your chances of getting that third one.
1. Reflect on the Second Date
Right after the second date, it’s important to think about how it went.
Take a moment to ask yourself some key questions.
Was the conversation flowing naturally?
Did you have fun?
Were there moments where you connected, or did you feel there were awkward pauses?
These reflections help you understand if the person felt comfortable with you.
For me, after my second date with Sarah (we had gone to a comedy show), I spent some time thinking. Did she laugh a lot? Was she leaning in when I talked? These signs gave me a clue that she was interested.
