It’s not uncommon to feel disconnected from your partner or to question your feelings. Sometimes, it hits like a quiet wave — small, subtle changes that make you wonder,

But it’s not always that simple. Many of us struggle to tell if the real issue is our relationship or something else entirely, like depression.

When Did I Start Feeling This Way?

First, take a moment to reflect on when these feelings began.

Was it sudden or did it happen over time?

Falling out of love is usually a gradual process. You may notice that you don’t feel as excited when you’re around your partner or that the little things that used to bring you joy don’t anymore.

On the other hand, depression often creeps in quietly. It can start with feeling tired, stressed, or overwhelmed.

At first, it might seem like a bad week or month, but if it continues, you may start to feel numb in many parts of your life, including your relationship.

Consider: Do you feel this way about other things too, or just about your partner?
